One Vision Group Meeting Change!!!

We have changed the One Vision meeting to Saturday September 26th. We are still meeting at 5:30. Please mark your calendars and join us!!!

This month at One Vision we are doing a communal piece of art that everyone will contribute to. We will do this every other month. This month will be a mixed media piece. So everyone should print anythingthat they might want to include in the piece. Please gather up all of the magazines you have laying around the house and bring them along. You can also bring paint, pen and ink, pencils, etc. Really whatever inspires you. We will provide some sort of "canvas" for us all to work on. This a great way for us to inspire each other and explore other form of artwork.

This project is going to be - not only fun - but let us explore what drives each of us. It'll be an awesome opportunity to get to know one another. SO please come - you won't want to miss this!

Reminder -

The first project is centered around either 1. Self-hatred OR 2. Rescue - or both. You should see what these themes mean to you and create art that reflects your feelings or understanding of the theme. You can also choose to pick something that moves you (can be entirely different than the theme we have). So please - pray and create!

July 18th

July 18th is the day! We are preparing a small art show to auction off some of the art pieces that were created by members of our small group. There will also be additional work that will be auctioned off as well. All proceeds will be donated to First Light Ministries.

July 18, 2009 from 6-8:00. I hope you will able to attend!

Cancelled meeting

Hey! The Saturday May 16th meeting has been cancelled. We will meet again the third Saturday of June - June 20th. Thank you!

Saturday's meeting

Here's the update! We met on Saturday Jan. 24th at 5:30 in the InnerChange Coffee Shop. The meeting was so encouraging and we are extremely excited about the upcoming projects. The theme focus is on Widows. But we want each artist to focus on what moves them - you do not have to stick to this theme. Each artist's interpretation is different and you may have something else pulling at you. So we are saying create what moves you! What drives you! If you have ANY questions, please post them or email us at onevisionalabama@gmail.com - we look forward to hearing from you.

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday Feb. 21 at 5:30 in the IC Coffee Shop. This meeting is a workshop. Please bring your art to work on or any questions you have about the project. This is a time to work on your art, to ask about artwork, to find out more about the artists or for peer review.

What the duece????

It has been a while since we have updated this thing. 

My apologies to you all. Recently Jenny, Nick and I have been brainstorming for the upcoming year. We are reformatting how OneVision will be doing things and I'm exciting to see how it all plays out. We started out on the wrong foot but you guys will be excited too with the new, different and down right awesome things coming your way. So mark your calenders and keep those eyes and ears open for upcoming announcements. We will officially kick off the new year on January 24th at 5:30. Hope to see you there.

ATTENTION!!! We need some information!

MEETING CHANGE: The OneVision meeting has been changed to Saturday July 12, 2008 from 6:30-9:00. We will be meeting at the InnerChange worship area or the youth room - it has not been confirmed just yet. I will update once we've figured out which room would be best.

It is getting close to our next meeting. We planned to meet on June 28th; however, we are not sure about the response. Who will be attending and what kind of space we'll need. We need some input! If you plan on attending and have art to present, PLEASE contact Kendall Russell or Jennifer or Nick Nicholson! We just need a rough head count to ensure we have enough snacks and space. Space is a biggie. Unfortunately I'm human and did not think about the space issue until.... well... today.

So I'll post again soon. Keep checking because we will meet after the July 4th Holiday. If you would like to help but not present art, you can! We invite everyone who would like to fellowship and talk about arising issues in our community and world.

First Project!

We met last Saturday about our first project. If you could not attend, please keep checking this site to get updated. If you are interested in participating, please send us an email at onevisionalabama@gmail.com - we will send you a form to fill out so that we know how many are participating!

The first project will focus on widows.

We will have our first showing of our work on Saturday June 28th from 6-9:00.
